Origin and Purpose of the unSpirituality Project

The inception of the Unspirituality Project dates back to 2013, marked by the release of my book, "unSpirituality: Permission to be Human," followed by the establishment of a corresponding YouTube channel in 2015. This initiative emerged from a human awakening in 2012, following a lifelong spiritual journey. The project was closed in 2019.

Through the creation of over 700 videos and numerous articles, my objective was to debunk the pseudoscience inherent in New Age and religious ideologies, as well as to challenge false assertions about reality. The overarching goal was to unveil and reframe spirituality from a naturalistic standpoint.

A perusal of the content on this page reveals a pronounced inclination towards science, naturalism, and atheism. This deliberate focus aimed to deconstruct my pre-existing metaphysical beliefs, reconstructing them from the ground up to ensure that any retained aspects of spirituality were firmly grounded in reality and subjected to rigorous scrutiny.

This investigative process was designed to conclusively address my doubts about spiritual teachers and their extravagant claims. It became evident that the New Age industry operated as a marketing machine founded on untested and delusional ideas, readily embraced by emotionally-driven seekers.

How My Spiritual Views Evolved

Since the project's inception, my methodology has centered on embracing the entire spectrum of metaphysics, redefining it through the prism of natural science. Leveraging a wealth of genuine mystical experiences accumulated over a lifetime, I found myself compelled to delve deeper, transcending the limitations of readily debunkable material. What emerged was a naturalistic explanation, embodying the foundational essence alluded to by religions and New Age beliefs, albeit clouded by misleading interpretations.

In this transformative paradigm, out-of-body experiences evolved into inner-body experiences, spiritual energy underwent a metamorphosis into psycho-emotional energy, and the spiritual realm was reconceptualized as the inner domain of human biology. The integration of archetypes and inner child work with practices such as magick, occultism, and kundalini formed a cohesive framework that deviated from conventional interpretations.

A profound five-week Kundalini experience in May 2014 provided remarkable insights into the inner dimensions, inspiring deeper teachings and reopening the door to exploration of the soul and afterlife. However, it took years for these concepts to mature through rigorous scrutiny and critical thinking to reintroduce them into my paradigm.

My current teachings, in harmony with the content on this page with significant exceptions, reflect the evolution of these ideas. The renewal of belief in the afterlife stems from ongoing testimonies of near-death experiences. The notion of the soul as a brain illusion has transformed into the idea that the human organism serves as a cocoon for an incubating subtle body or soul that persists beyond the termination of the physical body. However, I stress that one must "be human" rather than treat oneself as a "soul in a meat suit" to bloom in the inner dimension. We are human and the spiritual phenomenon we experience is generated through the physical dimension. Spiritual bypassing and dissociation only serve to thwart human metamorphosis.

I believe human consciousness can be produced by the brain, and an expanded awareness can exist beyond the human organism simultaneously. It doesn't have to be one or the other. What's wrong with evolution producing human consciousness through natural selection? Accompanying this concept is the idea that the human experience may serve as a portal to another dimension.

With such a foundation in place, individuals can venture into the enigmatic realm of their unconscious with a keen intellect and an open heart.
